SDV Safety Gate Sprint
Is your centralized vehicle architecture ready for the next safety gate?
Independent view on partitioning, freedom from interference and safety evidence for centralized E/E architectures.

Too much complexity. Too little evidence. Too many opinions.
Yet someone still has to sign.
We turn uncertainty into defensible decisions and controlled action across Functional Safety, Cybersecurity, and Systems Engineering, before an assessor, a customer or a field failure forces the question.
Don’t wait for the problem to become a crisis.
The assessor demands the functional safety argument. If it is not explicitly compiled inside the work products, it legally does not exist. Good intentions carry zero weight in a final audit.
The compliance finding remains open. Your entire engineering milestone, critical path, and SOP timeline are now completely dictated by an external auditor’s arbitrary calendar.
The customer loses confidence. In the automotive ecosystem, supplier ratings and multi-million euro nomination decisions follow strict evidence, never promises. Gaps trigger commercial blacklisting.
Someone has to sign off and legally accept the unmitigated residual risk. This burden almost always falls on a steering committee member or executive who never saw the underlying flaws, forcing blind personal exposure.
SLate architectural fixes forced after system integration ripple destructively through software, hardware, and supplier contracts. Every day delayed multiplies the recovery cost by 10x.
Capacity is strictly limited. The longer you wait, the higher the cost and the risk of missing your market window. Secure your milestone before it becomes a corporate crisis.

Only if the Gate shows gaps, and only then:
High-stakes expert and management consulting built for moments of critical uncertainty. We step into fractured project environments to remove internal inertia, resolve severe escalations and deliver tactical direction before risks turn into corporate crises.
Deploy emergency consultingWe don’t just hand over a checklist of recommendations. Diagonal Technologies deploys dedicated, cost-effective engineering squads to execute our safety and cybersecurity blueprints inside your project lifecycle, with full operational accountability.
Scale your project squadInteractive workshops and simulation exercises that turn compliance theory into practical skills. We train your teams to overcome decision paralysis, master industrial standards and build a culture of engineering certainty.
De-risk your team
After high-level escalations, we have led task forces that took over failing safety and cybersecurity workstreams. We assess what is actually happening, identify what matters and give you a path forward.
Core focus: ISO 26262, ISO/SAE 21434, Automotive SPICE, systems engineering and software engineering.
HARA, safety concept, technical safety requirements, SEooC, hardware metrics and safety case, extended to SOTIF and AI-based functions. Also IEC 61508 where required.
TARA, cybersecurity goals and concept, evidence for cybersecurity management and software update management in type approval contexts.
Gap analysis, work product repair and assessment preparation for system and software engineering process areas.
System lifecycle processes, requirements engineering, lifecycle management and software testing, applied with model-based design (Simulink, UML, Enterprise Architect).
We work inside the toolchain you already use and do not sell tools or manage licences. Typical environments include DOORS, Polarion, Jama, PTC Integrity, Jira, Confluence, Enterprise Architect, Simulink, CANoe, LabVIEW, NI TestStand, APIS IQ-FMEA and SVN.
ISO 13849, ISO 25119, IEC 60812, SAE J1739, AEC-Q100, UNECE R100, SAE J3016, ISO 16750, ISO 15031, ISO 19011, ISO 21500, SAFe, LeSS.

Robots, drones, UAVs and automated vehicles, building on our AD/ADAS expertise. Every new technology, from AI onwards, ends up inside an embedded, connected or autonomous system. That is where our safety and cybersecurity work applies.
ISO 26262 is the functional safety standard for electrical and electronic systems in road vehicles. It defines the safety lifecycle, ASIL-based risk classification and the work products needed to argue that a system is acceptably safe.
ISO/SAE 21434 defines cybersecurity engineering for road vehicles, including threat analysis and risk assessment (TARA), cybersecurity goals and requirements across the lifecycle. It supports evidence for UNECE R155.
Automotive SPICE is a process assessment model that OEMs use to judge supplier capability in system and software engineering. Results depend on documented, consistent and traceable work products.
They share architecture, interfaces and verification evidence. A security weakness can violate a safety goal, so both disciplines need one consistent technical argument.
A fixed-scope, fixed-price assessment of 10 to 15 days that ends in an executive decision pack stating whether the architecture is ready for its next safety gate.
Establish the root cause, rebuild the missing evidence chain and assign an owner to each open item. Diagonal Technologies provides rapid intervention teams for this situation.
Name the standard, what is blocked and the date of your next milestone. A short description is enough.
